Purpose of RadPro and benefits

Joining RadPro is FREE to any Radiotherapy professional worldwide. When you join you instantly become a platinum member and are entered into the new members quarterly prize drawer of a 25 book- token. You need to leave your email address and enter a login and password of your choice. As a practicing Radiotherapy professional, RadPro can give you access to every single colleague in the UK, Ireland and internationally so that important information can be shared more easily. There is the option* of your own professional email address e.g. your.name@RadPro.eu and free access to our information search engine and other databases. Our intention is to open up avenues of communication between centres and professionals with ready access to a Radiographer led information database.

Radiotherapy jobs are advertised in the employment sections and contain links to the trust HR site for easy on-line job application and showcase sites that feature each radiotherapy department member for extra information. Our virtual job finder software called "JobSearch" has been designed so that when the job you have been looking for is advertised or posted on the site, you are informed about it right away without having to read every page of every "situations vacant" section of various non Radiotherapy and expensive monthly publications. Some departments may use this service to ensure new job vacancies are looked at by the right people, right away! JobSearch is FREE along with your email address as above, and email forwarding. In JobSearch you simply enter your ideal job into a template provided and summit to RadPro. If a suitable vacancy is on line you will see this or you can save your search so that future jobs adverts will be linked to your request.

You have free access to the site's unique discussion pages. The discussion topics include but are not limited to the following headings. General "chat room" section, new equipment, current equipment, clinical trials, technological advances, mould room and immobilisation, information and support for patients. New topics can be added as and when required by informing RadPro. All data will be kept on line and stored in the RadPro data base. By submitting a simple request for information into the RadPro search engine, the virtual reference library for UK Radiotherapy departments will rapidly present any relevant information to you.

When your department subscribes it will be shown live in the UK and Ireland radiotherapy centres directory or the International sections, while each registered department will have it's own "showcase" pages for you to present E-posters, clinical papers and other important departmental or hospital information along with the employment section, CPD, management tools and links pages.Check to see if your department has registered and subscribed to use the log in and password provided to access the site.
