A leading maritime city on the South coast of England surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside and steeped in history. Originally a Roman settlement, but it derives its name from the Anglo-Saxon settlement Hamwic, which evolved into Hampton.

It has many ancient buildings, including the Bargate in the heart of the city centre, which is 800 years old and is one of the country’s finest medieval town gates.
