North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre
The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre is a purpose built centre opened in June 2000 to provide cancer services to the population of North Wales.
The completion of the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre has been one of the most complex and lengthy healthcare projects ever experienced in North Wales. The centre consists of a radiotherapy department, radiotherapy physics, nursing facilities and a hostel providing a full range of services to the patient.
The Centre has been designed to offer the patient, and staff, a relaxed, soothing and aesthetically pleasing environment. The design means the Cancer Centre is spacious and makes the most of natural light, being designed around a central courtyard. Artwork has been specially commissioned to enhance this environment.
Location
The Cancer Centre is based at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Bodelwyydan. Situated next to the dual carriageway A55 the centre is easily accessible by car and is well served by public transport.
